Luthier - Harpsichord and Organ maker

Born in 1954 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, attended workshops, masterclasses and regular studies on: guitar with masters Ricardo Mandolini, Carlos Ravina and Irma Costanzo, renaissance and baroque lute with Carlos Ravina and Danyel Yolis, viola da gamba with Ricardo Massún, Richard Boothby and Wieland Kuijken, harmony and composition with Sergio Hualpa, and documented performance of Baroque european music with Claudio Di Véroli.

Along with an intense concert activity as soloist or integrating diverse groups of early music, classical, contemporary and jazz, he studied luthería working as an apprentice in the workshop of the luthier Osvaldo Bragán, helping to build lutes, viola da gambas and Baroque guitars, then to specialize in building replicas of antique keyboard instruments.

Within the genres of electronic jazz and contemporary music, playing guitar and synthesized electric guitars, formed the ensemble Deep Space alongside with Alejo Garcia Mendez on keyboards, who is also a harpsichordist and worked together in several early music ensembles.

LRR has a degree in Marketing and Management (Universidad de Palermo).

Between the years 1988 and 1991, he worked at a major woodworking industry, where he familiarized with the equipment of the modern timber industry, fueled by knowledge of a qualified staff of carpenters and cabinetmakers officers of great experience and skill. During this period LPR built his first replicas of big early keyboard instruments as a double manual French harpsichord after Pascal Taskin (Paris, 1769), and a single manuanl Flemish harpsichord after Ioannes Dulcken (Antwerp, c. 1750), which have been used in countless concerts, with great appreciation for the artists and critics, for its mechanism, timbre and quality high volume sound.

Desde 1992, Since 1992, LPR has built for prestigious artists and collectors, replicas of clavichords, virginals, muselaars, ottavinos, spinets, and harspsichords, of the Flemish, English, French and Italian schools, after original instruments in the Russell Collection of Edinburgh, Victoria & Albert Museum of London, Museum of Instrumental Music Conservatory of Paris and other museums or private collections.

Since 1999, in collaboration with the prestigious organ maker Enrique Godoy and organist Rafael Ferreyra, researches and develops the construction and restoration of historic organs.

LPR is member of the Es miembro de la Argentine Luthiers Asociaciation (http://www.luthiersargentinos.com.ar/), being showing his instruments since 2002 in the "Luthería en Buenos Aires" anual exhibition..

Since September 2002, is the artistic conductor of the Early Keyboard Music Cycle(http://www.cmat.com.ar/).

Since July 2003, hosted and produced tha radio program “The Lutherie and the World of Musical Instruments”(http://www.lalutheria.com.ar/), broadcasted until February 2009 every saturday through the frecuency of Radio Nacional Clásica, FM 96.7 in Buenos Aires.

Since 2004 created and co-managed the recording and edition company Syntagma Records (http://www.syntagmarecords.com.ar/) alongside the organist Rafael Ferreyra.

Since 2008 developed alognside the luthier Matías Crom, built special bowed musical instruments the baryton and nickelharp.
